Concept

Project Nova was a fast-paced project to develop preliminary color proposals and moodboards for a mobile phone brand, whose recent two-year portfolio was predominantly shades of black, gray, and blue. Taking cues from their recent portfolio, the objective behind these proposals was to encourage a departure from conventional “safe choices” while ensuring a well-balanced and non-overwhelming spectrum. These color proposals, crafted with a strategic approach in mind, aim to capture the immersive essence of the metaverse’s new frontier, seamlessly fusing the tangible and virtual realms.

Moodboards

Guided by the metaverse’s limitless potential, and considering that this mobile phone brand’s choice of material and manufacturing process only allows single color with minimal finishing effect, color became the key to unlocking the phygital aesthetic within this project. These colors were carefully chosen with a strategic emphasis on the transparent materiality of the back inlay, mainly glass and glass-like. The range of color choices creates a harmonious interplay of translucence, adding depth and intrigue to the project.
