This episode was inspired by the Communicating Data course taught by professor Mark Hansen at Columbia University, which took us through a list of different mediums to communicate data beyond traditional data visualization methods, and was an eye opening for me to realize that podcasts can be one of the mediums. (The other one that I would really love to try is presenting color data via art installation – but let me not be too eager about it just yet!)
As we move into 2023 and are reflecting our footprints throughout 2022, I want to upload this episode at this timing as an appreciation for everyone who has shared their wisdom and aspirations. You might have thought that was a small effort, but it was truly meaningful and significant for those of us who were inspired, so THANK YOU!
Communicating Color with Numbers was my initial intention for returning to school and sharpening my CMF background with some quantitative knowledge. I have shared these thoughts through conversations with peers and friends, but never thought to put together an Unwrap CMF blog post or episode on this topic. I am truly grateful to be inspired and changing my mind about “speaking color and numbers”. Color is visual! Data is tongue twisting! I didn’t think it was possible to talk about color and numbers via a podcast episode… But here it is!
This episode only unwraps the tip of the iceberg, and there are so many more stories to uncover about color and numbers. I am excited to share this episode as a starter and look forward to more conversations on this topic…
?In this episode, let’s listen to…
